I believe in transparency and keeping things simple. Here is what this website does and does not collect when you use the AI Filmmaking Spectrum:

• Anonymous Viewing: You are welcome to view the spectrum and all its data completely anonymously. We do not track your viewership or collect analytics on your browsing.
• Voting & Interacting: If you choose to vote on a tool's placement or add a new tool, we collect and share your chosen username and the coordinates of your vote.
• Public Data: The username you choose, along with your votes and any tools you add, are stored in our database and are publicly shared with all other users of the site to calculate the consensus (and may also show individually).
• Cookies & Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage to remember your chosen username so you don't have to type it in every time. We also use Firebase Analytics, which uses cookies to provide us with basic, anonymized statistics about how many people visit the site.
• What we don't collect: We do not collect your real name (unless you use it as your username) or your email address (unless you are an admin).

If you are uncomfortable with your username being shared alongside your votes, please do not cast a vote or add a tool.
